Freedom Foundation is a non-profit addiction treatment facility located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Freedom Foundation focues their treatment on men over the age of 19 who have a substance addiction problem and have been able to remain sober for seven days prior to admissin. Freedom Foundation is a house-like building with accomodation for 13 clients. Tratment programs are divided up into three phases and last 6-18 months. The first phase is an introductory phase where clients work on goal setting. The second phase is when clients begin followingthe 12-step program. The third phase prepares clients for discharge where the work on important tasks such as building resumes and looking for housing.
